Valorie R. McCullough, 72, of Aurora, OH, formerly of Garrettsville, OH, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 5, 2024. She was born November 27, 1951, in Ravenna, OH, to the late William and Norma (nee Warren) McCullough.
She was a proud graduate of James A. Garfield High School. Valorie was the income tax clerk for the Village of Garrettsville for many years. She was a long-time member of the Nelson United Methodist Church, and was a former treasurer for the church. Valorie enjoyed gardening and cross-stitching, but especially liked spending time with her family and friends, especially at Christmas.
Valorie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kimberly Glanz; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Paul) Pohto and Mark (Gloria) McCullough; nieces and nephew, Rachel DeYoung, Bobby (Shealyn) Pohto, Kayla Kruger, and Matthew McCullough; grandnephews, (the apples of her eye), James Crofford and Samuel Pohto, as well as many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Please join the family for a memorial visitation Monday, August 12, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at Nelson United Methodist Church, 9367 OH-305, Garrettsville, OH 44231. A memorial service will begin at the church at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Rick Hughes officiating. Valorie will then be taken to Harrington Cemetery immediately after, where she will be lovingly laid to rest beside her beloved parents.
