The Mantua Farmers Market will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 10827 North Main Street, Mantua, having begun July 15. The hours are 9 am to 1 pm. The Market runs through September 23. Freedom Twp. Fall Festival

Come join us for our Fall Festival on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will have a car show along with a variety of crafters and vendors (still accepting vendors) and musical entertainment throughout the day. We will also have a presentation by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit at 3:00 p.m. There will be Cow Chip Bingo, 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets and food. Bring the whole family. Saturday is bag day. The Rummage Sale will take place in the church hall.
Friends of the G’ville Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Garrettsville Library book sale will be held in the library meeting room on the following dates: Friends ‘Members Only’ Preview on Wednesday, October 4, from 2 to 6 pm; Open to the public Thursday, October 5, and Friday, October 6, from 10 am to 6 pm; Saturday, October 7, from 10 am to 2 pm. Saturday is Dollar Day – Fill a bag for $4, we supply the bag. Membership in the Friends is just $5 per year and may be purchased at the door or in advance at the library. On October 7th. 2023, friends of Brandon Bailey and Jessica Myers, along with Shortie C’s Bar and grill will be holding a fundraiser to help raise funds for Jessica and their 3 children. The fundraiser will be from 1pm until midnight. There will be basket raffles, 50/50, and bracelet sales. Basket sales will run at Shortie C’s from October 1st at 11am until October 7th at 7pm. Pickleball Court Grand Opening

Barktober 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk

Join us on October 14th at 11:00am for the Portage APL’s sixth annual Barktober 5K Fun Run & 1-Mile Walk! Bring your canine companions (on a leash) for the run, dress up your pooch for our costume contest, and free fall-themed photos with your pets.
