The Village of Newton Falls is having a Takeout Turkey Dinner Fundraiser for the Senior Kitchen Program. The Senior Kitchen Program is funded by donations and does not receive government funding. All proceeds will benefit the Senior Kitchen Program. We are taking orders beginning November 1st. The cost of the dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 6. The menu is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls and dessert. The dinners will be available for pick up on November 18th at the Municipal Building 612 West Broad St from noon until 3pm.

Aspire Programs

The Portage County Maplewood Aspire Program will begin offering GED, Adult Diploma and ESOL classes at the Kent Free Library on Wednesday, January 3rd from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays during this time. Prospective students are required to first attend an orientation session prior to entering class at the Kent Free Library. Please call 330-235-0020 to schedule orientation. The Knights of Columbus are hosting breakfast with Santa on December 9th in the hall at St. Ambrose Church, Garrettsville. Breakfast will run from 10 am – 11:30, Santa arrives between 11 – 11:15. Breakfast is free but we request an item per attendee for the local food shelf.
