The Portage County Maplewood Aspire Program will begin offering GED, Adult Diploma and ESOL classes at the Kent Free Library on Wednesday, January 3rd from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays during this time. Prospective students are required to first attend an orientation session prior to entering class at the Kent Free Library. Please call 330-235-0020 to schedule orientation. Orientation sessions are offered every 2 weeks throughout the year, during both the morning and evening. Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard Food Distribution

Residents living within the James A. Garfield Local Schools district are elligable to receive a monthly food distribution from The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard. New clients of the NGCC should bring their Photo ID and a utility bill in their name/address to a distribution day to register. In March, our food distribution will take place on March 3 from 3:00–5:00pm; and March 13 from 9:00–11:30am.
The NGCC operates out of the Garrettsville Family YMCA building on Park Ave in Garrettsville. We are chartered to serve residents residing in the James A. Garfield school district.
