Overeaters Anonymous Meetings

Mondays

Overeaters Anonymous (a community of people who support each other in order to recover from compulsive eating and food behaviors) meets in person every Monday, except legal holidays, at 10:00AM in the parlor of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, 256 Mahoning Av NW, Warren, OH 44483. Please enter through the “Fellowship Hall” entrance on driveway. We look forward to meeting you! 

Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Mondays

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Lunches are served T-TH from 11a-1p only $5-plate includes homemade soup or salad, entrée, dessert and beverage. Menu for the week is posted on Facebook, or just call 330-889-2733.

Young At Heart Meetings

2nd Wednesday of each month (Sept 13, 2023 – May 8, 2024) from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Maplewood Christian Church 7300 State Route 88 in Ravenna. Come experience a safe indoor environment where children ages 2 – 5 can play, craft, enjoy music and burn energy (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome).  We will not meet if Ravenna Schools are closed. A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited. The meal is from 5-6:30pm, the last Thursday of each month through October at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township.  

Mantua Farmers Market

The Mantua Farmers Market will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 10827 North Main Street, Mantua, having begun July 15. The hours are 9 am to 1 pm. The Market runs through September 23. There will be a variety of vendors. Anyone interested in becoming a vendor please call Diane Lottig 330-274-2868. Vendor fees are $5 a market. Stop in and enjoy.

Sound Of Freedom

Free admission to see the movie Sound of Freedom at Garrettsville Cinema, 8001 State Street, on Sept 17 at 6:30 pm.  This movie is based on an incredible true story.  Donations accepted which will go to the Harriet Tubman Movement.

Fall Rummage & Bake Sale

The Altar & Rosary Society of St. Ambrose Church,  located at 10692 Freedom St. in Garrettsville is hosting their annual Fall Rummage and Bake Sale on Friday, September 29 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, September 30 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Saturday is bag day. The Rummage Sale will take place in the church hall.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

We will be having a Breast cancer fundraiser for Patricia White, of Garrettsville, on October 7th from 3pm to 8pm at the Windham Community Center, located at 9647 E. Center Rd. There will be a basket raffle, 50/50, and dinner. Adults $8; kids under 8 $4.
