Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Mondays

Senior Center will be open for breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will be COVID compliant, so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Temperatures will be taken at the door and anyone reading a temp of 100 deg will be turned away. Call with questions/concerned 330-889-2733.

Wing Night at the Eagles Club

Loaves  and Fishes Community Meal

Free meal is open to all residents in Mantua,Hiram,Garrettsville and surrounding areas.  Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars or even if you just love a homemade meal.  You are cordially invited to come eat and enjoy some fellowship. This meal is from 5-6:30 pm, the LAST Thursday of each month at Mantua Center Christian Church. 4118 S.R.82.

Annual Chicken BBQ

Hilltop Christian Church, located atop the hill on West Prospect Street, in Mantua, is hosting its annual Chicken BBQ on Saturday, September 11th (Potato Festival Weekend) from Noon until 6PM. For over 40 years we have been serving our renown BBQ half chicken, cooked over local hardwoods in our very own BBQ pit. Homemade potato salad, green beans, rolls and fresh baked homemade pies. Americana Jam Session

Program on Freedom’s Railroad History

Freedom Township Historical Society will host a program on the railroad history of Freedom Township at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 14, at the picnic pavilion across from the Freedom Town Hall, 8966 S.R. 700. Train historian Phillip McCoy will present a PowerPoint that features stories and photos of how the railway changed Freedom and share detailed drawings of the Freedom Station depot. Attendees are invited to bring their train memorabilia to share. This is an outdoors event and is free and open to the public.

Square Dance Lessons 

Starting Sept 14

A new year of weekly square dance lessons will begin Sept 14  from 7 to 9 p.m. Each lesson builds upon the previous session and will include learning new steps along with plenty of review and practice each week to help attendees master the moves. The Tuesday evening sessions will run weekly through April 12, 2022 at the Niles SCOPE Center. Freedom Fall Festival

The Freedom Fall Festival Craft and Vendor Show will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Freedom Town Hall Pavilion at the intersections of St. Rt. 88/700/303. We still have vendor and entertainment/demonstrations spaces available. We will have our Cow Chip  Bingo back this year. You can win up to $1,000.00!!! Windham Fall Fest

Windham Fall Fest 2021 is going to be located in the Windham Village Park (N. History Tour in Garrettsville

The James A Garfield Historical Society is sponsoring a “ Mystery of our History” Tour on Saturday, Oct. 2 between 10am and 2 pm, starting at the Historcal Society Building on Main St. The tour will include the highlights of our history, starting on Main Street at the Mott Building and advancing on Main Street to St. Ambrose Church, to Park Avenue and ending at the Baptist Cemetery on Maple Ave. The tour is being provided by the Historical Society to help raise funds for the further restoration of the Baptist Cemetery on Maple Ave.

Held in Hughes Hall, the Christmas Boutique continues the 36 year tradition of a nice show of hand-crafted items, baked goods, raffles, door prizes, and breakfast and lunch items.
