In celebration of the Great Reveal of the 100-year-old time capsule, the James A. Garfield Historical Society is releasing a new book!

Time Capsule Opening-Unveiling Our Roots…and providing a glimpse of the present for the eyes of the future.”

The book, “Time Capsule Opening” not only explains the beginning of the time capsule, but also includes the history and highlights of Garrettsville, Freedom and Nelson throughout the decades.

The book was primarily written by Scott Lawless, author of “Where’s my Milkman?”, a book about the local dairy farms, and Pam Montgomery, author of “Garrettsville Strong”, a book about the Buckeye Block fire and history, along with others at the JAG historical society.

The JAG Historical Society is taking pre-orders for these historical books now! The cost of the book is $25.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Call Debbie Smith at 330-389-1859 or email garrettsvillehistory@gmail.com to reserve your copy. Books will be available in June.

Time capsule “I was there” shirts will be available and can also be preordered starting at $15.
