The Garrettsville’s Twentieth Century Club concluded its club year with a festive gathering at Nasreen Kitko’s home. The hostess received assistance in preparing the diverse and delightful meal from co-hostesses Karen Ziarko and new member Kathy Watson.
The roll call was answered with “my Christmas wish,” resulting in a series of aspirational responses. These varied from hopes for relief from personal and global suffering, wishes for a husband’s health, favorable travel conditions, a calorie-free existence, peace in the Middle East, reunions with family, a well-trained puppy, an end to global foolishness, well-being and tranquility, international responsibility, and safety for all.
The minutes are now available online and garnered no corrections for Secretary Anne Rubin. The next meeting, scheduled for January 4, will take place at the Covenant Bible Church and will feature a representative from the Hiram Farm. Donations will be gladly accepted. Joyce Fashing will transition from active membership to Honorary status.
The dinner featured an abundance of delicious dishes and engaging conversations among cherished friends—a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Following the meal, there was an exchange of Christmas ornaments in various sizes and designs, acquired by correctly answering qualifying questions of varying difficulties (e.g., “Who is wearing red or green?”). The evening concluded with expressions of gratitude and appreciation.
