A big heartfelt thank you to Garrettsville Community! Thanks to you and all your generous donations to our recent Rummage Sale, we were able to meet our fundraising goal to continue to provide programming for youth sports, senior activities, and financial aid to those who are in need for 2021!
With your help, we not only made our goal but we were able to provide help to more local organizations in need as well. We were able to donation leftover items to The Renaissance Center in Windham, APL, People Tree, Hope Town Recovery Center, and a few area families, all of which is going to good use.
Among some of our shoppers at the sale, we know some of the other items were also going a nursing home, dance center, day care center, and to sports teams.
None of this would have been possible if we did not have all the wonderful donations that many accumulated over covid and that were ‘garage sale leftovers”. More importantly, the biggest thank you goes to my staff and members at the Garrettsville Y. They rocked it! Between staff, members, and the many volunteers that just showed up, Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough! I truly appreciate all the time and help that went into the sale.
We are so thankful for being a part of such a giving and thoughtful community and hope to continue this endeavor next year!
Clean out those closets, tidy up the garage, and dig out the basement! The Y will be ready to take in your “trash” and make it someone else’s “treasures”! We’ll see you next year after the Annual Garage Sales.
