Thomas E. Bosma, 73 years of age, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday October 23, 2018 at his residence. Tom was born on August 20, 1945 in Nelson Township, Ohio the son of the late Wybe and Gerda (Visser) Bosma.

A lifetime Portage County resident, he grew up in Nelson Township, and was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School. Tom had been employed at Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, retiring in 1995 after 32 years of service. A Hiram Township trustee for over 25 years, Tom provided leadership and knowledge to numerous Portage County committees in public service during his life. Tom will be remembered for truly enjoying being outdoors, and his love of “The Chain Saw”. He was a man who without a doubt had a “ way with words” , and was always there for his wife, children and family. On December 27, 1971, he married his beloved wife Janet C. (Comyns) Bosma who survives at their home. Also surviving are his devoted children Alan (Wendy) Davis of Streetsboro, Teresa “ Terry “ (Paul Brady) Yeager of Nelson and Holly K. Thomas of Garrettsville; dear sisters Grace Fites of Oklahoma, Betty Visocan of Windham and Evelyn Tafel of Hiram; 7 loving grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and his dear caring friend Donna Queen of Nelson. Tom was preceded in death by his son Mark D. “Dago” Davis in 2013, his son-in-law Randy Yeager in 2009, and brothers Jack and Fred Bosma. No calling hours. A memorial service for

Tom will be held at The Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua at a later date. Tom was laid to rest at a private family burial at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram, Ohio.
