Attention Educators! Reward yourself with an enriching professional development experience on the shores of Lake Erie by attending the Advanced Wonders of Watersheds workshop. This comprehensive 3-day program offers valuable outdoor investigations, new resources, engaging activities, field explorations, optional graduate credit hours, and time to connect and rejuvenate! Join us Tuesday, June 23rd – Thursday, June 25th for learning adventures throughout the Lake Erie basin while lodging at Old Woman Creek, one of Ohio’s best remaining natural estuaries. Designed to deepen our connections to the natural world, this workshop will provide an in-depth look at our soil, climate, and waterways within the Lake Erie Basin and ways to effectively integrate these topics into the classroom. Participants will receive a wide variety of curriculum resources including classroom-ready composting supplies, lessons, and a compost bin funded by Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste District’s Go Green Community Grant program. Each day will take us on new adventures to enhance our skills and sense of wonder. Open to educators of all grades and disciplines. Enrollment is limited so register soon!
