Geauga County Master Gardener Volunteers present Sharon Swaney, noted dahlia authority* who will present “The Spectacular World of Dahlias” on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Sharon Swaney has been growing dahlias most of her life and will share what she has learned. Discover the many jaw-dropping forms and diversity of dahlias. Learn how to grow, store and show them. Sharon will also open doors to the dahlia community: providing access to other experienced growers willing to share their knowledge on growing dahlias in Ohio; giving access to advanced notice on tuber and plant sales; and sharing the opportunity to meet and grow friendships with other dahlia lovers.

*Sharon Swaney was the treasurer and membership chair of the Dahlia Society of Ohio for seven years. She is the webmaster for the American Dahlia Society and the Dahlia Society of Ohio and is on the board of the American Dahlia Society. See her website at dahliasocietyofohio.org.
