What is happening in Portage County? The Home Instead Senior Care ladies are wearing Red? Here’s why…
The snow is falling with chilly nights spent by the fire and thoughts of Christmas Shopping fall fast on your mind – the local Home Instead Senior Care office has been in full Christmas Spirit since the middle of October with the Be A Santa To A Senior Program. This program brings ‘Joy’ to local seniors during this season. With the help of many community partners, gifts are collected for seniors who otherwise would be spending Christmas alone. Not only do they receive a gift – they also receive something so precious, the gift of a visit. Time is something so precious to each of us, but to a senior, taking your time to visit them can help restore the joy they once had at Christmastime. So, you may see the “Purple Ladies” of Home Instead Senior Care wearing ‘Red’ this season – as they help to bring a smile to our greatest generation – Our Seniors!
