Forest Field K9 Search & Rescue, Inc., founded in March 2019 by Garrettsville resident, Shawn Cisney, invited Portage County students to submit artwork for the team’s logo design. The winner is to be announced and presented with the contest prize, a Nintendo Switch at the “Teens, Tweens, Toddlers & Tot” event to be held on Sunday July 28, from noon to 4 pm at Sentinel Party Center, 11845 ST. RT. 44, Mantua, OH 44255.

The event is open to the public with tickets being sold in advance and at the door. Carnival style table games, prizes, Chinese Raffle, Hot Dog Meals available. All ages welcome & everyone wins something!

Our non-profit 501(c)3 application submitted to IRS, is for a charitable, educational and literary organization. We are unique, as our focus is on educating the public to prevent persons from becoming lost or missing, while training K9 teams to deploy if needed by law enforcement. Shawn trains his K9 partner, Yaz, a one year old female German Shepherd during the week with other team members and helpers. The goal is to certify the K9 team to the National standards of the National Association of Search & Rescue and the North American Work Dog Association.

Admission: Adults $5, Seniors $4 Children (4-19) $3 and ages 3 and younger admitted free. The admission helps offset the expenses related to hall rental, games, prizes, advertising, tablecloths & admin supplies. Hot Dog Meals for $2 include hot dog, chips and soda pop. A la carte $1 per menu item. All games are free with admission. Chinese Raffle tickets $1 or 50 cents for assorted themes of Paw Patrol, My Little Pony, DC v. Marvel Comics, Toy Story 4, Dr. Seuss, Space Exploration and more!
