Teeing up for success: Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary’s golf outing a focus of this week’s meeting

On to the Golf Outing! That was the principal focus of the March 18, 2024 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club. Catering confirmation and other arrangements and finishing details will move on to another meeting. The recent Scotch Doubles Bowling event at SkyLanes was deemed a success–good baskets, good crowd, good time. Design options for new pins will be sought from Amy Crawford, to be voted on at a later date. Many thanks to the RoadApple Roubaix organizers’ donation given recently. The latest on the mural project involves checking with other mural locations–Ravenna, Mantua–for more insights and possibilities. The ironwork for the Maple Ave. cemetery should be done by Memorial Day. No takers so far for the 4-Way Speech Competition or the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) event of this summer–the door is still open. What will the G-H Rotary be placing in the time capsule when the new one replaces the one which will be opened on July 6? Will there be an official opening of the TCMRT (Tom Collins Memorial Rotary Trail)? It’s been much anticipated by locals and district personnel. Stay tuned.

There were nominations for “presidents-in-waiting”…protocols rule.
Happy Bucks came in for just waking up, a grandson, bathroom remodels, a successful business week, the successful run of “Beauty and the Beast.”
It’s all good.
