The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Portage County is hosting the International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1-3pm at 3922 Lovers Lane in Ravenna.
International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is an event in which survivors of suicide loss come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experience. Non-Loss Survivors are also encouraged to attend. The event will feature a screening of a documentary produced by the American Suicide Prevention Foundation, that follows Sarah, a young adult, through her story of milestones, family, coping and positive growth after the loss of her father. She shares her story of hope, connection and resilience in the aftermath of a suicide loss.
