On Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 1-3pm the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Portage County along with the Mental Health & Recovery Board and Kelly’s Grief Center will be hosting an International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event.
This gathering is for family and friends to come together and join a community of suicide loss survivors to share stories of hope and healing. The event will highlight the importance of creating a community of care and emphasize the importance of opening the dialogue between multiple areas of life, including the home, schools, work, sports teams, medical facilities, etc. There will be information regarding suicide education, prevention, and aftercare provided by mental health professionals and interns.
