Streetsboro – The Streetsboro Quilt Guild will hold its annual judged quilt show on October 5th from 10AM to 6PM and October 6th from 10AM to 4PM, at the Faith Baptist Church in Streetsboro, 9890 State Route 43 Road (at the corner of Frost Road). The show will feature 150 quilts for viewing.
The fundraiser quilt this year, “Sunrise over the Boro” is shown above with guild members Linnea Kuckelheim, Karen McQuaid, Sharon Kemp, Monica Massanyi, Grethchen Fisher, Helena Belden, Robin Waybright and Lacine Gauss. Raffle tickets can be obtained at the show or from any guild member. Several themed gift baskets will also be raffled at the quilt show.
We will have 10 vendors at our quilt show, including quilt shops from Northeast Ohio, and other related businesses. This is a wonderful opportunity to shop for fabrics, quilting tools, needlework supplies, patterns, and vintage quilts.
The Country Cupboard will offer items hand-crafted by guild members. Examples of items for sale are bags, purses, pin cushions, small quilts, placemats, pot holders, table runners and many other items. This is a good place to start your Christmas shopping. Admission to the show is $5.00. There will be refreshments for attendees. A portion of quilt show proceeds will be donated to charities supported by the guild.
Anyone can enter a quilt or quilted item. Although this is a judged show, entrants can choose to display quilts, without having them judged. The entry fee is $6.00 per item for entrees submitted after September 17th. Entry forms can be found at the guild website, streetsboroquiltguild.com.
