Garrettsville – Local State Farm Insurance Agent Shannan Jursa, in partnership with State Farm insurance Companies and Operation Blessing, have collected 450 letters and cards from the students of James A Garfield Local Schools and Windham Exempted Village Schools.
“I cannot express how much the efforts of the schools means to me personally,” stated Jursa. “I was expecting maybe a dozen letters/cards per school. My first pick-up was at Windham Schools with EMIS Coordinator Crystal Hickman. When she walked out of her office with this foot-tall stack of cards, I started crying. I have shed a few more tears of joy as I have made several pick-ups this week. My heart is so full with gratitude and joy for each and every student and teacher that stepped up for this cause. They represent a brighter future full of love, hope, and kindness.”
At State Farm we believe every day is an opportunity to stand behind our veterans, show appreciation for their service and honor their sacrifice. I know sending cards might only seem like a small act of good, but veterans often say it is the highlight of their gift package.
Thank you for supporting Operation Gratitude this holiday season!
