Mantua – Last year was a tough year for all of us, but we made it. St. Joseph Church in Mantua is hitting the ground running with the Ox Roast Fair, which is being held on July 16th, 17th & 18th. They’ll have a few changes this year and maybe some last minute changes as the Diocese of Youngstown and the Governor of Ohio progress through this pandemic. At this time they’re able to have their fair, as all other communities. All recommended guidelines will be followed. Health and safety are their biggest concern.
The 2021 St. Joseph Church Ox Roast Fair, now in its 57th year, promises to be more exciting than ever. The Main Raffle continues using the same tickets and great prizes as in 2020 (the 2020 Ox Roast Fair may have been cancelled but the main raffle was not!). Grand prizes include a 2021 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe UTV (provided by Just for Fun Honda) for first prize, a second prize of $1,500.00 cash, and a third prize of $500.00. The drawing takes place on the last day of the Fair, Sunday, July 18th, at 9:30 p.m. Winner need not be present. During the Fair, $100.00 progressive hourly drawings take place at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. all three days. Winners must be present for the progressive hourly drawings and winners still qualify for the main raffle. Tickets are $10.00 each, 3/$20.00, 10/$50.00, or 30/$100.00. Limited Trade Booth space is available for the entire three days of the fair. The standard 10’ x 10’ booth rental fee is $350.00. A large booth, measuring 10’ x 20’, is also available for $450.00. Each booth is a lighted, open-sided booth with a canopy style cover (this is not an individual free standing tent). Booths which require special lighting and/or the use of a vehicle are $550.00. Be a part of the 9th Annual Run of the Ox 5K Run/Walk & 1M Family Fun Walk at this year’s Ox Roast Fair! It will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17th, at the church and run an out and back course down Bowen Rd. Only 150 participants will receive a t-shirt, so register early!
