The GMS Drama Club will showcase its “Night of One Acts” from December 6–8, featuring three comedic short plays: The Chili Haunts Me Still, Supervillains Anonymous, and Middle School Science Fair. Performances are scheduled for December 6 and 7 at 7 p.m., with a matinee on Dec. 8 at 3 p.m.
The production, set to take place in the Iva Walker Auditorium, offers a blend of humor and creativity through its trio of one-act plays.
Supervillains Anonymous takes audiences inside a support group for reformed villains struggling to abandon their evil ways after countless defeats by the invincible superhero Wonder Man. When an eager new villain crashes the meeting, chaos ensues, culminating in a surprise visit from Wonder Man himself.
In Middle School Science Fair, students are tasked with solving problems for their projects—but unclear instructions from their teacher lead to hilariously unexpected presentations. From secret crushes to tattletales, no middle school dilemma is off-limits.
The Chili Haunts Me Still tells the story of Bobby Jefferson, a student haunted by a ghost after consuming too much chili. His embarrassing plight follows him through a school day filled with awkward encounters and unfortunate sounds.
Tickets for the performances are available at the door.
