Roy A. Orefice, of Garrettsville, passed away February 21,2022. He was born May 19, 1945, in Cleveland to the late Frank and Cecelia (nee Valore) Orefice.
He was very proud he served in the United States Marine Corps. Roy was a member of the Teamsters Local #507. He retired from Giant Eagle after 30 years of service, working in the Distribution Center. Roy liked to gamble, travel, stay at home, and spoil his grandchildren. Roy really enjoyed living in Garrettsville; his favorites things were the car shows, parades, SummerFest, the Peach Social, and having breakfast at the bowling alley. He was always saying he should have moved here sooner. Roy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; he will be dearly missed.
Roy will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dora (nee Bubsey), with whom he was blessed to have over 20 years of marriage; beloved children, Barbara (Tom) Cavalcanti, Linda (Tony) Staniszewski, Lawrence Terstage, IV, Lisa Holop, and Frank Orefice; precious grandchildren, Thomas Cavalcanti , Michaela (Hunter Steele) Cavalcanti, Abigail Staniszewski, Anthony Staniszewski, Arielle (Troy) Mosley, and Justin Holop; precious great-grandchildren, Logan, Alexis & Alivia Mosley; dear siblings, Linda (Tony) Capra, Frank (Theresa) Orefice, Jr., and Annett Simione, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Roy’s wishes, he is to be cremated. He will be inurned at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a later date.
