Rolan L. McCumbers, 84, of Garrettsville, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025. He was born February 6, 1941, in Shock, WV, to the late Russell and Nellie (nee Workman) McCumbers.
He moved to Ohio as a boy and grew to enter the United States Army. Rolan went on to work multiple jobs at General Motors in Lordstown, OH, until retiring after 32 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a gun aficionado. Rolan was a simple man who enjoyed spending time with his friends, and especially his family, for whom he cherished.
Rolan will forever be missed by his loving wife, Diana (nee Campbell) McCumbers, who was blessed to share over 22 years of marriage; daughter, Misty Bor; bonus daughters, Michele Blosser and Amanda (Matt) Burns; grandchildren, Rebecca, Anthony, Shane, Brittany, Zachary, Kolby, Julianne, Colin, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shawn McCumbers; grandson, Mason, and his brothers and sisters.
Per Rolan’s wishes, he is to be cremated. He will be buried at Windham Twp. Cemetery in Windham, OH, at a later date, with military honors.
