Roberta Jo “Bobbi Jo” Johnson, 69, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully surround with family at her bedside on Monday, December 26, 2022. She was born on August 10, 1953, in Warren, to the late Charles and Barbara (nee Leedom) Johnson.
She attended the Fairhaven School in Niles until she was 21 years old, where she enjoyed going to dances. Bobbi Jo was also a proud participant in the Special Olympics, where she competed in swimming and bowling. She loved spending time with family and friends, and was always ready to go on a trip, whether it was camping or driving down the street to have a visit. Bobbi Jo’s favorite place to swim would be at her favorite vacation spot, Long Beach Island. She spent the last 41 years of her life at Consumer Services and was proud to hold a job at Fairhaven Workshop as an assembler for 48 years. Her family and friends will always smile thinking of Bobbi Jo asking for pictures; she adored receiving pictures from anyone she took a liking to. Bobbi Jo always had a smile, a laugh, and an introduction to offer to a stranger, who wouldn’t be a stranger for long.
Bobbi Jo will be deeply missed by her siblings, David (Denise) Johnson and Charles Johnson; brother-in-law, Chris Reedel, and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Audrey Johnson-Reedel.
The family would like to invite friends to honor Bobbi Jo for a visitation on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 P.M. Bobbi Jo will then be laid to rest at Park Cemetery, by her beloved parents.
