Riverside Railroad Club Holds Holiday Show

275

The Riverside Railroad Club will hold its annual Christmas display show Saturday December 11th and Sunday December 12th inside the Warren YWCA building at 375 N. Park Ave. The times of the show both days are 11 am till 3 pm. Admission is $3 per adult and children under 13 are always free.

The show features several sets of model trains making their way through a detailed city setting constructed by club members. The event is a key fundraiser for the club, which also hopes to attract new members to its ranks.

This year’s show is in an indoor location at the SCOPE Senior Center at the YWCA building at 375 N Park Ave. in Warren with an entire room in the basement focused on the trains and displays.

“I’m excited for the model train club as they moved into this indoor location a few years ago where they can conduct shows throughout the year and not have to worry about the weather,” stated Mike Wilson, Director of SCOPE Senior Services, who hosts the event.

The Riverside Railroad Club also meets each Tuesday from 4 till 6 pm at the SCOPE center. The club has completed an extensive indoor display complete with buildings, bridges and tracks where different trains to operate throughout the year.
