Rita Shea passed away peacefully on January 13, 2020. She was born on August 27, 1933 to Ira Shiplett and Mary (Hansen) Shiplett.
She is survived by her sister Jane; nieces, Marcia, Becky, Jeanette, Loretta, Brenda, Linda, Diana, Beth, Amy, and Linda; nephews, Jimmy, Frankie, Mark, Larry, Tim, and Mike. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond, and sisters Kathleen and Margaret.
Rita was a proud member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the Alter and Rosary Society.
She loved to crochet and play eucker. Rita also really enjoyed long rides in the country.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom Street, Garrettsville. A mass of Christian burial was held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 pm with Father Ed Stafford officiating. Burial followed at Park cemetery.
