Windham – On Friday, April 19th area alumni from Windham, Garfield, Waterloo and Rootstown took to the basketball court in a four game contest to prove that athletic skills don’t fade, but improve with age.
Players from the four schools – graduates ranging from 1961 through 2012 — came out in force, each obtaining sponsors in order to play.
When all was said and done, it was the Waterloo Vikings who took home the championship title. The Windham Bombers came in second, with the Rootstown Rovers and Garfield G-Men finishing third and fourth.
The games were a fundraiser put on by the Renaissance Family Center of Windham. Proceeds from the tournament, concessions and T-shirt sales will be used to fund the many programs offered by RFC.

Additional photos from the games will be available on the Weekly Villager’s facebook page soon!
