Portage County residents who experienced damage from Saturday’s severe thunderstorm are encouraged to report the extent of damage to the Portage County Emergency Management Agency.
Use this link to open an online form where you can describe the damage and send PCEMA photos: portagecounty-oh.gov/homeland-security-emergency-management/pages/storm-damage-reporting.
Other ways to get that information to PCEMA:
• Via the free Portage County Emergency Management App. If you already have it on your phone, you can find the “Damage Report” button on the main window. Click and start typing. You can even send photos. Don’t have it? Go to the Apple iPhone app store and search for “Portage County Emergency Management” and download. Also available for Androids.
• Call the PCEMA office and give the report to staff. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Call 330- 297-3607.
• Email PCEMA at pcema@portageco.com. Please include your full name, full address, city, zip code, phone or how to best contact you, description of the damage and attach photos if you have them.
Emergency Management Agencies like the one in Portage are charged with assessing damages to households, businesses and public infrastructure following natural, technological and human made emergencies or catastrophic disasters. Most prevalent in these categories are tornados or strong wind events like micro and macro-bursts and river and flash flooding.
