Bring the whole family to Reed Memorial Library’s Family Halloween Party on Saturday, October 21 from 1 to 3 pm. It’s our annual party for all ages, with something fun for everyone. Dress the family in your favorite book-inspired costumes because our photographer will be on hand to take photos and preserve memories. Children can make crafts, play games and activities like ring toss and Feel Factor. Adults will enjoy our witch’s cauldron candle-making station and a mini-pumpkin painting craft.
Everyone can visit the “bat room” where Todd Cartner, in partnership with Portage Park District, will teach you all about these amazing creatures. Learn about bats through hands-on activities, learning pages, and book options for a special bat storytime. Children can enter a drawing for a bat plush toy or children’s book. It’s a fun, free afternoon of Halloween fun at the library.
