Ravenna – What a day of community representation is being planned for you to come out and experience all Ravenna on the Rise has to offer! So much festive Fall fun will be on Saturday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Annual Ravenna On Display. The event will be held indoors at the High School located at 6589 North Chestnut Street.
As Ravenna grows and turns into a more succinct community our events have become more enhanced, which makes for a more enjoyable weekend event that society looks forward to year after year.
There will be activities for the whole family. Are you a person who likes a good bidding war? If so check out the Showcase Silent Auction and see what you could win while supporting a good cause. All funds raised from the auction will go toward the programs and projects hosted by the Area Chamber of Commerce.
We haven’t forgotten the kids! Bring your little goblins and ghouls in their best Halloween attire for a children’s costume contest to be announced every hour on the half hour.
There will be a Trick-or-Treating Trail for kids as they go with their sacks and their families from table to table. The Ravenna On Display event is a unique opportunity for not only you, but also your child to get to know and become familiar with their hometown. So, make sure you bring a sturdy bag for all those Kit-Kats, Snickers and small giveaways.
Adults get a scavenger hunt to participate in where the grand prize will be a $100 gift certificate to Giant Eagle. Chamber members will be giving out stickers at booths displaying their business. But here is the trick: you won’t be told who is and isn’t a chamber member so you have to go around to every single table.
If you’re still hungry after sneaking all the good candy out of your child’s trick-or-treat bag, well, don’t worry, there will be food for sale and entertainment to round out the day.
Businesses interested in showcasing what they have to offer can rent a table or become a sponsor. Pricing ranges between $20 to $500 with various elements that come with each level of sponsorship. For example, the Silver level for $200 gets you an 8-foot table and a sponsorship board featuring your business. The deadline for sponsorship is October 4th.
