West Farmington – W. Farmington Assembly #116 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls had a busy term of activities under the direction of Miss Kristina Murray, Worthy Advisor.  For social activities the assembly played a round of Frisbee Golf, held a camp-out, held our annual picnic at Willow Lake, attended the DeMolay Conclave dance, held our annual Halloween party, go-to-church Sunday, and attended the Holiday Dance.

Rainbow GirlsFor service projects the girls donated wish list items to the Noah’s Lost Ark Animal Rescue, pulled weeds at the Mosquito Lake Park ranger station, served the OES installation dinner, volunteered at the Diabetes Step Out Walk, and rang the bell for Salvation Army.  Money makers included the Geauga County Fair, a car wash, the Farmington Festival, selling calendars and cookie dough.  We also held promotionals at the Trumbull & Geauga County Fairs, Progress Court Amaranth, Tuscan & Gustavus Masonic Lodges.

We were honored to be visited by Mallory Buschhaus, Grand Worthy Advisor, at one of our meetings and we welcomed two new members: Stephenie Keller & Rita Harper into our assembly.  We were able to take two girls and two adults to Supreme Assemby held in Grand Rapids, Michigan in July.  We are very proud of Miss Haley Spangler who participated in the International Supreme Choir and also Ritual Competition.  This year our assembly is honored to have three Grand Officers: Miss Katie Nevison – Grand Nature, Miss Caraline Nelson – Grand Outer Observer, and Miss Haley Spangler – Grand Ohio Flag Tribute.  These girls will represent our assembly at our state convention next summer.
