Garrettsville – Last Tuesday, Aaron King of Sky Lane Bowling, presented Interim Chief Brian Gregory of the Hiram Police Department with a check for $11,850 for the Hiram & Garrettsville Police Departments ‘Shop with a Cop’ program. The annual program is designed for less fortunate children to go holiday shopping for themselves and their families, with a police officer from Hiram and Garrettsville Police Departments. “This generous donation from Sky Lane and their patrons will increase the number of area families we can serve this year — children and their families who may have gone without. Thanks to Sky Lane’s support, more local kids and their families will have the opportunity to enjoy a happier holiday season.”
“It has been absolutely amazing,” King said. “Thus far we have donated over $100,000 to local charities. It’s been the best thing about this – to help out so many people.”
