This exciting event promises friendly competition, community connection, and a shared commitment to supporting this local nonprofit organization.
Pickleball enthusiasts, newcomers, and spectators alike are invited to join us for this fun-filled evening while contributing to meaningful initiatives. Proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit the Portage Foundation, which brings donors and nonprofits together to elevate Portage County.
The Pickleball Fundraiser Tournament will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Western Reserve Racquet and Fitness Club, located at 11013 Aurora Hudson Rd, Streetsboro, OH 44241.
Participants can register to compete for a $65 player fee, while spectators can attend for $35. All registrations must be completed by February 24 to secure a spot in the event.
The event will feature multiple divisions for players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each division, and spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on the participants while enjoying all that the Spectator Lounge has to offer. Catered food, cash bar, and raffles featuring exciting prizes from local businesses will add to the day’s festivities.
“We’re excited to bring the community together through the growing sport of pickleball,” said Janice Simmons-Mortimer, Portage Foundation Executive Director. “This tournament is not only a great way to have fun and stay active, but it also allows us to raise funds for the impactful work the Portage Foundation does year-round.”
