The Portage County Senior Center will hold a Grief Support Group courtesy of Serenity Hospice on Wednesday, December 11th at 12:15. Because the holiday times can be so rough for many, an informal group will gather to discuss and find ways to cope. The Portage County Senior Center will hold their monthly Lunch & Learn event on Monday, December 16th at 11:15. This month’s topic is “Creating and Achieving your Bucket List” and is being presented by Hospice of the Western Reserve. Lunch is being provided by Heartland of Twinsburg and The Gardens of the Western Reserve in Streetsboro. There is no cost, but sign-up is required. The Portage County Senior Center will celebrate the New Year in their own way with a special countdown at 12 Noon on Tuesday, December 31st. Each member is asked to bring an appetizer or dessert to share with friends. The informal gathering will begin at 9 a.m. and various card, dominoes, dice, and other games will be enjoyed.
