The Portage County 4-H Life Skills Committee held its annual 4-H sewing judging and fashion revue on July 18th. 4-H members, aged 8 to 18, showcased their skills, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. First-place winners in each category advanced to the Ohio State Fair sewing judging and style revue.

In addition, Construction Awards for outstanding project construction were awarded to Claire Rice, Nora Fanizzi, Benjamin Hovancsek, Mayhaley Cioffi, Addison Fox, Katherine Hovancsek, Adeline Klingelhofer, Cora Riemenschneider, Josie Smith, Jenna Canale, Rachel Landis, and Olivia Buckel.
The Patricia G. Rohal Memorial Champions of Champions Sewing Award was presented and shared as Co-Champion of Champions to Jenna Canale (Dress-Up – Day Wear) and Adeline Klingelhofer (Loungewear – Junior Division), both members of the Edinburg Seambusters 4-H Club. Additionally, both county Co-Champions of Champions won Outstanding of the Day at the Ohio State Fair competition, were awarded Best in the State in their category, and received the 4-H State Clock Trophy Awards. Other State Outstanding of the Day Awards went to Claire Rice for Self-Determined Quilting; Mayhaley Cioffi for Sew Fun; and Rowyn McPeak for Designed by Me. These projects will be on display at the Portage County Randolph Fair in the Hubbard Building.
