The Portage County 4-H Life Skills Committee recently recognized outstanding Portage County 4-H youth for their exceptional accomplishments in 4-H Life Skill project areas for the past year. These awards shine a spotlight on the dedication, hard work, and passion that these 4-H members have poured into their 4-H Life Skills projects. The awards not only honor individual achievements but also emphasize the importance of developing life skills that will serve these young 4-H members in their future endeavors, both personally and professionally.
4-H offers a wide variety of project areas in Life Skills, encouraging youth to explore their interests and develop valuable skills. There are over 200 different project areas for members to choose from including shooting sports, welding, STEM, cooking, sewing, and public speaking. Through these projects, 4-H members learn important life skills such as responsibility, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
