PCDL Bookmobile Stops for April 2025
We have added another stop for our Bookmobile – just in time for spring!
You can find the Bookmobile at the Freedom Township Hall on Thursdays from 9:30 am – 11:30 am. You can check out our library-on-wheels at different stops in our county. Stop by for storytimes, sign up for a library card and check out free library materials! The Bookmobile will also be at:
Charlestown Town Hall: Mondays from 10:00 – 11:30 am
Paris Township Center: Mondays from 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Suffield Fire Department: Tuesdays from 10:00 – 12:00 pm
Nelson Circle: Wednesdays from 9:30 – 11:30 am
Mantua Township Lodge: Wednesdays from 12:00 – 2:00 pm

PCDL’s Tiny Art Contest
All ages are invited to join us in our second annual Tiny Art Show and share your painting talents! The Tiny Art Show will be taking place across Portage County, including Aurora, Brimfield, Garrettsville, Streetsboro, Randolph, Windham and our Bookmobile. Participatation is limited to 40 people per location (20 at Windham). Visit any participating location to register and pick up your art kit in-person starting April 7 to April 12, or while supplies last.
You’ll receive a 3” x 3” canvas, paints and a brush, plus some prompt for creative inspiration related to our theme, “Scenes from Spring.” Return your canvas to your local PCDL branch by April 19. Art will be displayed starting April 21 – April 28.

The Little Seed Library at PCDL
The Little Seed Library at PCDL is now open! The Little Seed Library at Portage County District Library’s Windham Branch will offer free fruit, vegetable, herb and flower seeds, as well as provide educational resources for home gardening, seed saving, and food preservation. Seeds are now available at both the Garrettsville and Aurora Branches.
To select seeds, browse the PCDL Seed Catalog and Growing Guide for available seed packets and information about the variety, level of growing difficulty and level of seed saving difficulty. Please note that supplies of seeds are limited and are available on a first come-first serve basis.

Storytimes at the Garrettsville Library
Tuesday Family Storytime from April 8 – May 27: Come join us for family fun as we read exciting stories, dance to jump out of your seat music, and sing silly songs. Limited to 20 participants. Adventure Storytime, Craft & Treat on Thursdays from April 3 – May 29 (not April 24): Grades 1-3 come join us for a spectacular adventure! We’ll explore exciting books, create art master pieces and have a delicious snack! Limited to 15 participants.
