Patsy A. Simsa, 84, of Hiram Twp., OH, peacefully passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, one year after her beloved passed. She was born February 19, 1940, in Auburn Twp., OH, to the late Edwin and Elsie (nee Hull) Fontanelle.
She worked at Johnson Plastics where she met the love of her life, Ronald Simsa, Sr. On September 2, 1961 she married Ron at Auburn Community Church and was happily married for 61 years before the death of her beloved. She retired from ThermoPacking in Bainbridge after 15 years. Patsy belonged to Sky Lanes Bowling League back in the 70’s and 80’s. She enjoyed her horses, her soap operas, Garth Brooks, and her cat, Sammy. Patsy loved going to play Bingo and gambling at the casinos. Her favorite color was purple. The entire family would go on fishing trips to Canada or Kelley’s Island every summer and then host a Fish Fry at the end of the summer. Patsy’s pride and joy was her family. She loved hosting Sunday dinners, gathering everyone around the table catching up on weekly events.
Patsy also very much enjoyed going to all different functions for the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patsy will be deeply missed by her sons, Ronald (Tammy) Simsa, Jr. and Richard (Grace) Simsa; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Donna, Lois, and Brian (Karen), and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tracy Fontanelle, and her husband, Ronald Simsa, Sr.

Patsy will then immediately be taken to Maple Shade Cemetery, E. Washington St., Auburn Twp., OH 44023, where she will be lovingly laid to rest with her beloved Ron.
