Ox Roast Fair Plans Well Underway

Mantua – St. Joseph Church in Mantua is hitting the ground running with the Ox Roast Fair, which is being held on July 21st, 22nd & 23rd. The 2023 St. Joseph Church Ox Roast Fair, now in its 59th year, promises to be more exciting than ever.

The Main Raffle is offering some great prizes in 2023. Grand prize is a Winner’s Choice $8,000 Vacation Package, second prize is $1,500.00 cash, and third prize is a Gift Card Basket ($500 value). The drawing takes place on the last day of the Fair, Sunday, July 23rd, at 9:30 p.m. Winner need not be present. During the Fair, $100.00 progressive hourly drawings take place at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. all three days. Winners must be present for the progressive hourly drawings and winners still qualify for the main raffle. Tickets are $10.00 each, 3/$20.00, 10/$50.00, or 30/$100.00. Purchase raffle tickets through the Parish Office during business hours (cash, check or debit/credit cards), at area businesses and events, through St. Joe parishioners, by contacting St. Joe’s parish office (330-274-2253), or during Fair hours.

Limited trade booth space is available for the entire three days of this great food and entertainment church fundraiser. What a great opportunity to get your message out to an estimated attendance of nearly 30,000 people! Booth space includes access to power for your own lighting. A limited supply of Fair canopies are available on a first come, first serve basis. The standard 10’ x 10’ booth rental fee is $350.00. A large booth, measuring 10’ x 20’, is also available for $450.00. Booths which require special lighting and/or the use of a vehicle are $550.00. Early bird discounts available. One 8-foot table and two folding chairs will also be provided upon request. FYI – St. Joe’s provides all of its own food booths which are manned by volunteers (no outside food vendors permitted except for ride company’s treats trailer). Be a part of the 11th Annual Run of the Ox 5K Run/Walk & 1M Family Fun Walk at this year’s Ox Roast Fair! It will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22nd, at the church and run an out and back course down Bowen Rd. Only 150 participants will receive a t-shirt, so register early! If you would like to volunteer the day of the race, please contact Brian Hirsch (bhirsch@stratos.net or 330-297-1465). Please spread the word to all your friends and families to support this event. There are a number of sponsorship opportunities for businesses or individuals to support the largest, three-day fair in northern Portage County including flyers, beer mugs, truck and tractor pulls, events, entertainment stages, and other areas of the Fair.
