Norma J. Walters, 83, of Streetsboro, formerly of Freedom Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was born February 1, 1938 in Windham, to the late Frank and Amy Alderman.
She loved to bake, dance especially to polka music and care for many family and friends. You never left her house without a full heart and a full stomach. Her favorite times were spent with her cherished family.
Norma will be deeply missed by her loving children, Glenn (Pat) Walters, Tom Walters, Donna (Ken Lege) Roberts, Joanne Thornton, Cindy (Carl) Petersen, Wendy (Joe) Petersen; loving grandchildren, Joshua, Marissa, Dan, Deidre, Alicia, Tyler, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Nate, Alma, Jon, Jaxon, Liam, Miles, Talulah, Eleanor, Zachariah; siblings Ralph Stanley, Jim Stanley.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alden Walters, in 2005; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Thornton 2009; siblings, Dorothy Alderman, Charlotte Watson, Corabell Kaser, Eleanor Vanderpool, Opal Vanderpool, Donald Stanley, Leroy Stanley, Ray Stanley, Helen Podojil, Donna Stanley.
Visitation for Norma was held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, Ohio. A funeral service and burial will followed at Drakesburg Cemetery, where she was laid to rest beside her loving husband.
