NGCC Ready To Support Residents Amid Looming SNAP Cuts

795

As uncertainty grows around potential SNAP food assistance cuts due to the ongoing government shutdown, the Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard (NGCC) wants to remind local families that help is available. The organization remains committed to ensuring that no one in the James A. Garfield School District goes without food during this challenging time.

NGCC will hold its November food distribution on the following dates:

Monday, November 3 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, November 12 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.

The pantry is located at the back of  the YMCA building at 8233 Park Avenue in Garrettsville.

If you have not used the food pantry before, please bring a photo ID, proof of residency, and the names and birthdates of everyone in your household.

In addition, the food cupboard does offer home delivery for those in need.  Simply contact us at 330-527-2011 for additional information or to register.

“Our mission has always been to serve our neighbors in need,” said an NGCC representative. “With the possibility of reduced SNAP benefits, we want to make sure local families know we are here, ready to help.”
