Heritage Accord Inc is partnering with the Newton Falls Public Library to sponsor a “Youth Essay and Art Contest.” The contest is open to all students grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Public School, home school and virtual school students are invited to participate. The theme for both the essay and the art contest is “My Hometown.” Two Grand Prizes will be awarded, one for the best essay and one for the best art submission. Each of the Grand Prizes is an iPad (9th Generation) Wi-Fi and includes the iPad plus the USB-C to Lightning Cable and the USB-C Power Adapter.
Heritage Accord, Inc. is the non-profit organization restoring and renovating the historic Newton Falls Community Center, located at 52 East Quarry Street, Newton Falls, Ohio. The winning essay will be read and the winning art will be on display Saturday, November 5th, day- long 80th Anniversary of the Dedication of the historic Newton Falls Community Center.
The contest rules:
• All submissions are to be completed by the student
• Essays may be hand-written or typed
• Artwork may be any medium and any size up to 22 inches x 28 inches (Standard Poster Board)
• Limit One Written Essay & One Art Submission Per Student
• Entries are to be submitted to the Newton Falls Public Library, 204 South Canal Street; (Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 7:30 pm and Friday & Saturday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm)
• DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 7:30pm, Tuesday, November 1st
• PLEASE DO bring your submissions to the library 30 minutes prior to closing
• PLEASE DO NOT leave submissions outside of the library nor drop them in Library Drop Boxes Be certain all submissions include your name, grade & contact information
