Newton Falls Schools is proud to recognize Ellie Falb, a junior at Newton Falls High School, for earning the Congressional Silver Medal, a distinguished honor awarded by the United States Congress. Ellie is the first student in Newton Falls history to achieve this recognition, a testament to her exceptional dedication, service, and personal growth.
To earn the Silver Medal, Ellie committed to setting and accomplishing rigorous goals in key areas of the Congressional Award Program:
Physical Fitness: 195 hours
Personal Development: 255 hours
Voluntary Public Service: 503 hours
Her work reflects not only a deep commitment to improving herself, but also a powerful dedication to making a meaningful impact in her community.
Looking ahead, Ellie has set her sights on the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor in the program. Her goal is to complete the necessary requirements and attend the national award ceremony in Washington, D.C. in June 2026.
Thank you to HS Social Studies teacher Mr. Brian Bugos for being a strong advocate for Ellie to receive this prestigious honor!
