The Kiwanis Club of Newton Falls continues its tradition of giving each first grader a new Scholastic book to celebrate the end of first grade. With thanks to Principal Mrs. Witt and the first grade teachers, the students gathered in the auditorium to hear short presentations. Kiwanis member Elizabeth Yura talked about her favorite book, The Velveteen Rabbit, and member Kathy Wujcik demonstrated how reading has helped her improve skills using the equipment to snorkel and scuba dive safely.
