The Newton Falls Community Backpack (food) Program continues to support local children, grades kindergarten through 5th, with supplemental food for the weekend and a book in each bag. The program would like to thank everyone for their support and particularly the following.

For children’s books: the Church Mouse (printer paper, too), Newton Falls Elementary, Kiwanis members Kathy Wujcik and Nancy Hoffman.
For the plastic bags in which food is packed: Newton Falls IGA and Newton Falls Shop ‘n Save.
For helping to pack the food first semester: the program thanks NF First Baptist Church, Kiwanis member Bob Wujcik, Zack Angle, and NF sports teams and their coaches, cheerleaders, the band members and director Hrdlicka, all arranged by Chad Rankin, Athletic Director. National Honor Society will pack in January.
For school staff support: Principal Mrs. Witt, Ken Hrenko, Molly Howard, Rhenea Shablesky, and Supt. Andreas Johannson. The program also thanks the schools, staff, and the community for their continuing support of this local program to help our young students.
We began the food program (30 bags per week) two weeks early this year, at a cost of about $275 per week. If you can help, donations can be made directly to Associated School Employees Credit Union, and please add your name to the memo so that we can thank you.
