Nelson Twp. – D. J. Missions monthly meeting held on April 5 opened with devotions from God is Able book, prayer, time of sharing testimonies, and two thank you cards were read.
Under old business it was announced the final delivery of socks, hats, ear muffs, scarfs, and gloves to Haven of Portage County was completed. Thank you notes had also been sent out to our sister churches in Windham and Garrettsville for their donations to, the project.
In new business the group voted to give a donation to Hiram Farms towards a purchase of a vacuum cleaner. It was announced that Hiram Farms is also in need of clay pots and hanging baskets.
Following the meeting, three projects were completed: Easter cards for church congregants, Sisters of Sobriety cards, and Easter Baskets. Before leaving the ladies enjoyed refreshments and good fellowship.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 3 at 1p.m.
