Geauga Walkers & Grandparents in the Park

Attention Nature-lovers of a certain age: Geauga Park District’s programming for seniors will keep you moving through the cold winter months (and give grandparents a way to celebrate when spring finally begins)!

No registration is required to join fellow Geauga Walkers and explore parks by foot these Tuesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m.: January 28 at Bessie Benner Betzenbaum Park, February 11 at Big Creek Park, February 25 at Swine Creek Reservation, March 11 at The West Woods, and March 25 at Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve. For details on each hike, visit our website; for a complete Geauga Walkers schedule including walks outside of the parks, too, call the Geauga Senior Center at 440-279-2167.

Those gifted with grandchildren are also invited to register on our website or by phone for Grandparents in the Park: Spring Celebration at The West Woods Nature Center on Tuesday, March 25, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Together we’ll enjoy hands-on activities celebrating the animals and plants of the season, indoors and outdoors, with beverages provided; everyone is also asked to bring a snack to share.

For more on Geauga Park District offerings, please call 440-286-9516 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or visit Geauga Park District online via www.geaugaparkdistrict.org, Facebook, X, Instagram or YouTube.
