Nancy Jean Gill

147

Nancy Jean Gill, 87, of Burnsville, Minnesota, formerly of Garrettsville, Ohio was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved Stan and her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on September 1st, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late David and Geraldine (nee Kearns) Baranyai, Sr.

She was a proud graduate of Crestwood High School and attended Boheckers College. One day, Nancy saw a tall, handsome, young man walk into her local dance hall, and she was instantly smitten, knowing she would marry him. She indeed married him, the love of her life, Stanley Gill, on December 26, 1956, and they were blessed to share 66 idyllic years of marriage before he passed away in 2023. A few years after they married, they moved to Miami, Florida. She loved caring for her family, landscaping her beautiful yard, keeping an immaculate house and reading uplifting stories. Nancy was an accomplished pianist, but was too modest to let others know. When she and Stan returned to Ohio her legendary laughter could be heard on Friday nights as the “gang” played dominoes.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her loving children, Diana (Dave) Simonpietri, Stanley (Sheri) Gill II, and Chuck (Mary) Gill; grandchildren, Jason (Elaina) Gill, Matt (Melissa) Gill, Andrea (Gabe) Storz and Stacie (Alex) Buszmann; great grandchildren, Sebastian, Isla, Julian, George, Demi and Luke; siblings, Davey Baranyai, Roger (Amy) Baranyai; in-laws, Helen (Gill) Danku, and Ron (Cynthia) Gill, Becky Gill, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Marilyn Baranyai, Lou Danku, Ken Gill, Norma (Tom) Baker, Pauline (Ralph) Ross and Gladys Gill; nieces and nephews Philip Baker, Sandy Danku, Jerry Danku, Greg Danku, great niece Tera Ross.
