The city is serving as a backdrop for Divorcing the Mob, a film produced by Polestar Pictures. Written by John Reign, with contributions from John P. Wood, Rich Varville, and Harry Schenawolf, the movie blends crime and comedy as it follows mafia boss Vincent “Blue Eyes” Berlusconi’s attempt to leave his criminal past behind—while secretly entering the FBI Witness Protection Program.
The production, led by Reign alongside producers Mark Weis and Alexi Angelino, has engaged numerous local businesses and talent. According to Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ryann Cline, the project is providing positive exposure and fostering community spirit.
“It’s truly been an amazing experience to see a community coming together as a team and a family,” Cline said. “This is not only an incredible opportunity but also an exciting and healing time, creating hope for the future of Ravenna.”
