Move With Monarchs

436

It’s so thrilling to find an insect you’ve never seen before. One sweep of the net can reveal amazing insects that are more often heard than seen. What will you find?

Catch up with this season’s stunning Monarch butterflies and more during Monarchs & Meadow Insects – at Frohring Meadows on Sunday, September 11, and at Orchard Hills Park on Sunday, September 18, both 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Together you and your friends or family are invited to use our nets to catch a variety of butterflies, grasshoppers, praying mantids, katydids, beetles and other meadow insects. Join in at any time without registration. You may also bring your own net, if you’d rather. We recommend wearing sun protection, socks, hats and long pants for moving through the meadow.

Plus, should you catch a Monarch, a naturalist will be on hand to tag and release it. Provide your contact information to be notified if your Monarch is later recovered in Mexico!
